Photography is of one Ally Roberton's favourite forms of creative expression. Sharing her work with the world is a step toward a connection based on captured moments.
She uses a Pentax Super ME film camera to capture these moments, people and places. She prefers film, over digital, in a world of ever increasing technological advances and believes that by staying with this process, despite the pressures, costs, and time, she can help preserve the integrity of the art.
It is a risk to shoot in film, not knowing if the work is going to turn out as envisioned, thus one is coerced into enjoying the process. Ally uses this as a practice in non-attachment from any expectations.
